A spontaneous adventure that completely reshaped how I view travel. During a post-grad backpacking journey, I found a $20 flight to Morocco and decided to go with no plan - just curiosity. What followed became a lifelong love affair with one of the most captivating countries in the world.
I stayed in a small riad in Marrakech, where I met two Australians who became my travel companions for six unforgettable weeks. Together, we explored surf towns along the Atlantic, basing ourselves at a local hostel where community and connection were everything. Mornings were spent surfing in Imsouane, afternoons wandering souks, and evenings sharing tagines under desert skies.
The journey ended deep in the Sahara, surrounded by timeless beauty and extraordinary hospitality - a reminder of how travel can connect us in the most unexpected and meaningful ways.
